I had a terrible sleep last night. I only got 3 broken hours of sleep so obviously I woke up feeling horrible.
My neuropsychologist suggested I try “grounding” to help me feel better in the morning and to help me with my sleep.
After I did my “grounding” this morning, I felt an almost immediate relief from the extreme fatigue I was experiencing. I have repeated this several times today and it has helped me a lot.
What is grounding ?
Grounding, also called earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities, such as walking barefoot on the grass, to “ground” or electrically connect yourself to the earth.
Research in Environmental medicine has demonstrated that there is a positive benefit to one’s health when there is direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the earth.
The evidence from this research shows that direct contact with the Earth — from being outside barefoot — may be a simple, natural, and yet profoundly effective environmental healing strategy against chronic stress, ANS dysfunction, inflammation, pain, poor sleep, disturbed HRV, blood clotting disorders, and many common health disorders, including cardiovascular disease.
